Shut Up & Sing, 2006

This could have been a really cool documentary if they had just stuck it out to see what happened on Grammy night, and also if the lead singer was more well-spoken. It was interesting how the 2 other 'Chicks' didn't seem to see exactly eye to eye with her and yet deferred to her anyway. Chad Smith from the RHCP makes a cameo.

You know, I haven’t seen this movie, but I have often found myself wishing that Natalie Maines articulated her convictions a bit better. She is obviously sincere in them — she stood up to a lot of shit because of them — but she certainly does not speak persuasively about them. I guess in this case, though, actions speak louder than words could (or rather, blunt words at the right time speak louder than eloquent words whenever), so perhaps it doesn’t actually matter much.
