Throughout The Notorious Bettie Page, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the movie was a puff piece work of adulation by a fan. I’d suggest that’s a feeling most filmmakers don’t shoot for when making a movie. If nothing else, I came away seeing Bettie Page as a naive contradiction, which may or may not have been the point.
