Basically, about the scene mentioned above seemed indicative of the entire series, and then the scene's climax happened driving home the point that the CLIMAX was the real indicative moment. I saw that Simon interview also, but couldn't really decide if that was a defense he came up with after the fact or an actual plan going into the season. Either way, I do think it works, though should have been driven home with a few more examples like the Prop Joe instance... I get backed up on reviews and then back date them to when I actually watched a movie or finished a series...
