The Wire Season 5
I can’t review The Wire Season 5 without spoiling it for those who haven’t seen it, but I’ll do my best. There’s a scene towards the end of the last episode where a character has a monologue pretty much summing up the entire 5 season run of The Wire and I was thinking, “This is what the show has always been about,” and then something unexpected happens summing up the series EVEN BETTER. I don’t know what else to say except that I wish there was going to be The Wire Season 6.

Suck it Cheese.
I liked a comment from David Simon about how the real story of the media subplot is that they *never* really know what is going on in their city — not with Prop Joe’s death, not with the politics, not with the homeless murders, not with the police. They miss the real story at almost every turn.
(I just saw this items today, weeks later. Something is up with your RSS feed perhaps?)
No, Aaron just backdates all his posts for some reason.
He is a TIME TRAVELER!
Heh, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to expound, perhaps more clearly in the comments without having to stick to my 3 sentence mantra. Basically, about the scene mentioned above seemed indicative of the entire series, and then the scene’s climax happened driving home the point that the CLIMAX was the real indicative moment.
I saw that Simon interview also, but couldn’t really decide if that was a defense he came up with after the fact or an actual plan going into the season. Either way, I do think it works, though should have been driven home with a few more examples like the Prop Joe instance…
I get backed up on reviews and then back date them to when I actually watched a movie or finished a series…
I like the explanation that I’m a time traveler better. I don’t back date the posts, I go back in time to when I watched and write the review then.
