Season 1 was amazing and fresh while Season 2 suffered from what I was hoping was a one episode cameo by Danny Devito that turned into a full time gig. In Season 3, the writing seemed to embrace the ridiculousness of the early shows and somehow created counterweights to the secenes featuring Devito. Each of the characters traits that had surfaced periodically were now brought to the forefront, thankfully and successfully, multiple times per episode.
