Plastic Bag Ban – Los Angeles

"The Los Angeles City Council voted ...to ban plastic carryout bags in the city's supermarkets and stores by July 2010 -- but only if the state fails to impose a 25-cent fee on every shopper who requests them."

We need to use less plastic. Plus the plastic bag advocacy group is called the "Save the Plastic Bag Coalition", which, admit it, is a silly name. I don't want any packaging manufacturers to go out of business, but I cheer on every plastic bag ban.
