You know how it sounds like Michael Jackson is making up works in Wanna Be Startin Something when he’s all, “Ma ma se, ma ma sa, ma ma coo sa”? Turns out the song is inspired by Manu Dibango’s Soul Makossa. MJ didn’t credit Dibango originally, but worked it out with him financially a bit later.

I wasn’t going to post the Ron Artest Michael Jackson Tribute video below, even though it’s pretty awesome. But then I found out, from Dave, that Ron Artest chose his new number with the Lakers, 37, because that’s how many weeks Thriller was #1. And then I had to share it.

I would say this is the best song for this glorious Friday afternoon. You could disagree, but I’d call you a malcontent.

This wrap up of 5 seasons of the Wire is incredible. I’ve watched it 3 times already. Plenty of spoilers, obviously.
